Woodpecker is cheaper than lemlist for a solo sender contacting up to 2,000 new prospects a month: $35 or $67 against lemlist's $69 Email plan. From 4,000 prospects lemlist is cheaper, and at 50,000 emails a month it is $69 against Woodpecker's $329. Add LinkedIn and a team, and Woodpecker wins again by a wide margin.
The two tools meter completely different things. Woodpecker bills by how many new people your campaigns contact in a month. lemlist's Email plan is a flat $69 for 50,000 emails with unlimited users and unlimited contacts, and its Multichannel plan is $109 per user. So which one is cheaper depends on three numbers: new prospects a month, whether you run LinkedIn steps, and how many people on the team need a seat.
We read Woodpecker's prices from woodpecker.co/pricing.md, the price sheet behind its slider, and lemlist's from lemlist.com/pricing in September 2026. Every total and crossover point below is our arithmetic, and every volume figure assumes a three email sequence.
Woodpecker vs lemlist pricing, plan against plan
| Plan | Monthly / annual per month | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Woodpecker, 500 prospects | $35 / $23.33 | 8,000 emails, 2 warm-ups, 100 Lead Finder credits |
| Woodpecker, 2,000 prospects | $67 / $44.67 | 32,000 emails, 6 warm-ups, 200 credits |
| Woodpecker, 4,000 prospects | $99 / $66.00 | 64,000 emails, 10 warm-ups, 250 credits |
| Woodpecker, 20,000 prospects | $329 / $219.33 | 320,000 emails, 40 warm-ups, 550 credits |
| lemlist Email | $69 / $55 | 50,000 emails, unlimited users and contacts, lead database |
| lemlist Multichannel | $109 / $87 per user | Unlimited emails and messages, LinkedIn, calls, 5 senders per user |
Both include unlimited team members on their email plans, which is the detail most comparisons still get wrong about lemlist: only Multichannel is billed per seat. Woodpecker takes about a third off for a year, billing 8 months for 12; lemlist takes 20% off. Woodpecker also includes unlimited mailboxes on every tier and free catch-all verification. Is Woodpecker cheaper than lemlist?
Only at low volume. Woodpecker is cheaper up to 2,000 new prospects a month, by $34 at 500 prospects and by $2 at 2,000. From 4,000 prospects lemlist's flat $69 is cheaper, and the gap grows to $260 a month at 50,000 emails.
| New prospects a month | Woodpecker, monthly (annual) | lemlist Email, monthly (annual) |
|---|---|---|
| 500 (1,500 emails) | $35 ($23.33) | $69 ($55) |
| 2,000 (6,000 emails) | $67 ($44.67) | $69 ($55) |
| 4,000 (12,000 emails) | $99 ($66.00) | $69 ($55) |
| 10,000 (30,000 emails) | $188 ($125.33) | $69 ($55) |
| 16,667 (50,000 emails) | $329 ($219.33) | $69 ($55) |
The 2,000 row is close enough to call a tie on monthly billing, but on annual billing Woodpecker is $10.33 a month cheaper there. The last row is the most striking: to send 50,000 emails with a three step sequence you reach 16,667 new people, which lands on Woodpecker's 20,000 tier at $329. lemlist sends the same 50,000 for $69.
Longer sequences change the picture in Woodpecker's favor, because its meter ignores how many steps you run. A seven step sequence to 2,000 prospects is 14,000 emails and still $67 on Woodpecker. On lemlist it is still $69 as well, so at that size the two are level whatever your sequence length.
What happens above 50,000 emails on lemlist
lemlist's Email plan stops at 50,000 emails a month. Above that, the published option is Multichannel, which has no email cap but is billed per user and gives each user 5 senders, so the price follows your headcount and mailbox count rather than your volume. Past that point lemlist points larger teams to an Enterprise quote. Woodpecker keeps publishing prices: 100,000 emails with a three step sequence is 33,334 prospects, which falls on the 40,000 tier at $587 a month. If you plan to cross 50,000 emails within the year, get lemlist's quote in writing before you commit to either.
Woodpecker vs lemlist for a team that also runs LinkedIn
For a team running email plus LinkedIn, Woodpecker is far cheaper, because it charges $29 per LinkedIn account on top of one shared prospect tier, while lemlist charges $109 for every user on Multichannel.
| Team, 2,000 prospects a month in total | Woodpecker, tier plus LinkedIn | lemlist Multichannel |
|---|---|---|
| 1 person | $67 + $29 = $96 | $109 |
| 3 people | $67 + $87 = $154 | $327 |
| 5 people | $67 + $145 = $212 | $545 |
These are monthly prices; lemlist's annual Multichannel rate is $87 a user, $435 for five, and Woodpecker's price sheet lists the LinkedIn add-on only as $29 a month. The comparison is not perfectly like for like. Multichannel also covers calls, SMS and task management, and it has no email cap. If you only need LinkedIn steps next to email, you are paying for channels you will not use. The crossover moves with volume: at 10,000 prospects a three person Woodpecker team costs $188 plus $87, or $275, against lemlist's $327, and at 20,000 prospects it is $416 and lemlist wins.
Lead data and credits on each
lemlist's Email plan includes access to its lead database of more than 650 million contacts and its email and phone finder, with finding paid in credits: its data add-on is $20 a month, or $16 billed yearly, for 2,000 credits. Woodpecker includes free Lead Finder credits in every tier, 100 at 500 prospects rising to 350 at 10,000, and sells extra packs from $10 for 500, about 2 cents a credit. Finding one email costs 1.5 Woodpecker credits. The two credit units are not the same, so compare what one found email costs on each before you buy data from either. If you already buy leads elsewhere, neither credit pool matters much.
Free trials and what to test in them
Both trials are free and need no card. Woodpecker's lasts 14 days or 100 sent emails, whichever comes first. lemlist's lasts 14 days with full Multichannel access, after which you keep the account but cannot launch new campaigns. Neither is long enough to measure a reply rate. Use the trial to test the thing that will actually cost you money later: on Woodpecker, how fast your campaigns burn contacted prospects; on lemlist, whether the Email plan covers your volume or you will end up on Multichannel seats. Both vendors revised their pricing during 2026, and most comparison pages still quote the old tiers. That is a useful habit to borrow for your own market as well: if you sell against named rivals, it pays to track your competitors' pricing pages so a quiet price change does not show up first in a lost deal.
Which should you buy?
Pick Woodpecker if you are one person or a small team contacting under 2,000 new prospects a month, or if you want LinkedIn steps for several people without paying a per user price. Pick lemlist's Email plan if you send between roughly 12,000 and 50,000 emails a month, because $69 flat is hard to beat there, and if a built in lead database saves you a second subscription.
ColdMailer is the option for a different kind of campaign. Instead of a template sent to thousands, the AI writes a separate message for each prospect on your list, you read and edit any of them, and it sends from the inbox you already use. Starter is $49 a month for 1,000 emails and Pro $99 for 5,000, with a year costing six months. At high volume both Woodpecker and lemlist are cheaper per email than we are, and we would rather say so. If your list is a few hundred accounts worth a real first line, a new account gets 25 free emails to try it. For the full lemlist picture against its other main rival, see lemlist vs Instantly pricing, and for what else to shortlist, our Woodpecker alternative and lemlist alternative pages.
