Zapmail costs $39 a month for 10 Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailboxes on Starter, $99 for 30 on Growth and $299 for 100 on Pro. Extra mailboxes are $3.50, $3.25 and $3.00 each. Quarterly billing takes about 10% off and yearly billing takes two months off, which is where the advertised $2.50 per mailbox comes from. Domains are extra at $13 a year for a .com.
Zapmail sells the mailboxes cold email is sent from. It does not send the campaigns. So the number that matters is the whole stack: mailboxes, domains and the tool that writes and sends. This page prices each part, using the plan data on Zapmail's own site. The per-mailbox figures, crossover points and stack totals are our arithmetic.
Zapmail pricing plans for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
The Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 tabs carry identical prices. Each plan is a bundle of included mailboxes plus a rate for any you add on top.
| Plan | Monthly price | Mailboxes and extras |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $39 | 10 included, then $3.50 each |
| Growth | $99 | 30 included, then $3.25 each |
| Pro | $299 | 100 included, then $3.00 each |
All three plans use US or EU IP accounts and include DNS setup, health checks, bulk profile editing, forwarding and a workspace per domain. What changes with the tier is the monthly allowance of deliverability test and AI insight credits (3, 10 and 30 of each), and Pro adds priority support and API access. If you plan to provision mailboxes from your own software, that API line makes Pro the only option regardless of volume.
What does Zapmail cost per mailbox?
Zapmail costs $3.90 per mailbox on Starter, $3.30 on Growth and $2.99 on Pro when billed monthly. Billed yearly it is $3.25, $2.75 and $2.50. The $2.50 on Zapmail's homepage is real, but it describes one case only: 100 mailboxes on Pro, paid a year ahead, which is $3,000 up front.
| Billing | Starter / Growth / Pro per month | Per mailbox |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $39 / $99 / $299 | $3.90 / $3.30 / $2.99 |
| Quarterly | $35 / $90 / $270 | $3.50 / $3.00 / $2.70 |
| Yearly | $32.50 / $82.50 / $250 | $3.25 / $2.75 / $2.50 |
Yearly totals are $390, $990 and $3,000. A ten-mailbox buyer on monthly billing pays 56% more per mailbox than the headline rate. That is not a trick, since the plan cards say so plainly, but it is worth knowing before you build a budget on $2.50.
Which Zapmail plan is cheapest for your mailbox count?
Because every plan sells extras, there are two ways to reach most mailbox counts. Starter with add-ons stays cheaper than Growth up to 27 mailboxes. At 28 it costs $102 against $99, so switch. Growth with add-ons stays cheaper than Pro up to 91 mailboxes. At 92 it costs $300.50 against $299.
| Mailboxes | Cheapest plan | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | Starter | $39.00 |
| 25 | Starter plus 15 extras | $91.50 |
| 50 | Growth plus 20 extras | $164.00 |
| 100 | Pro | $299.00 |
| 200 | Pro plus 100 extras | $599.00 |
For comparison, Google Workspace Business Starter bought directly is $7.00 a user a month, so 50 mailboxes would be $350. Zapmail's $164 for the same count is the saving that makes resellers like this attractive, and the reason to read the ownership terms before you commit.
Zapmail pre-warmed mailbox pricing
Pre-warmed mailboxes are a separate product with an intro price for the first month and a lower renewal price after it.
| Pre-warmed plan | First month / renewal | Mailboxes |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $39 / $24 | 3 (renews at $8 each) |
| Growth | $149 / $84 | 12 (renews at $7 each) |
| Pro | $339 / $180 | 30 (renews at $6 each) |
Starter includes one domain. Extra pre-warmed mailboxes are $8 a month and extra domains $15 a year. Set against a fresh mailbox at $3.90, you pay roughly double every month to skip the two to three weeks a new inbox needs before it can carry real volume. For a campaign that has to start this week that can be worth it. For a planned rollout it rarely is, because a fresh mailbox warms up for the cost of waiting.
What Zapmail does not include
Domains. A .com through Zapmail is $13.00 a year, and you can bring domains you already own. The usual practice is two or three mailboxes per domain, so 50 mailboxes means about 17 domains, or $221 a year. That adds $18.42 a month to the $164 mailbox bill. Our guide on how to buy domains for cold email covers naming and how many to hold in reserve. Each of those domains should also resolve to something, so either forward it to your main site or build a small website on it, so a prospect who types the address finds a real business.
Sending. Zapmail provisions inboxes and connects them to a sender. It has no campaign builder, no sequences and no reply handling of its own. You still need a cold email tool, and that is usually the larger bill.
A published renewal schedule. The plan cards show one price per billing period for standard mailboxes and no step-up. At least one third-party directory reports a higher rate after the first year. We could not confirm that on Zapmail's site, so ask support to put the renewal price in writing before paying for twelve months.
Is Zapmail cheaper direct or through Smartlead?
Direct is cheaper. Smartlead resells Zapmail mailboxes inside its own app at $4.50 per fresh Google or Outlook mailbox a month plus $13 per domain a year, and $9.00 per pre-warmed mailbox plus $18 per domain. Bought from Zapmail, a fresh mailbox is $3.90 on the smallest plan and $2.99 on Pro.
At 25 mailboxes that is $112.50 through Smartlead against $91.50 direct, a gap of $252 a year for the convenience of one invoice. If you are weighing that sender anyway, our Smartlead pricing breakdown has the rest of its add-on ladder.
How Zapmail pricing compares with other mailbox providers
| Provider | Per mailbox per month | Terms |
|---|---|---|
| Zapmail | $2.50 to $3.90 | Plans of 10, 30 or 100, monthly to yearly |
| Saleshandy infrastructure | $2.99 to $3.99 | Cheapest rate needs annual billing |
| Mailforge | $3.00 | Yearly billing, minimum 10 slots |
| Infraforge | $4.00 | Yearly billing, minimum 10 slots |
| Google Workspace direct | $7.00 | Per user, no minimum |
Competitor figures come from each vendor's own pricing page as we last read it. The spread among resellers is narrow, a dollar or so per mailbox. Over 50 mailboxes that is $50 a month. The choice of sender moves the total far more than the choice of mailbox vendor does.
What the full cold email stack costs with Zapmail
Take a small team that wants 10 mailboxes. At a careful 20 emails per mailbox per working day, that is about 4,400 emails a month.
| Line | What it buys | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Zapmail Starter | 10 Google or Microsoft mailboxes | $39.00 |
| 4 .com domains | $13 a year each | $4.33 |
| ColdMailer Pro | 5,000 emails, unlimited inboxes | $99.00 |
| Total | $142.33 |
ColdMailer connects to those mailboxes over SMTP, writes a separate email for each prospect, runs follow-ups in the same thread and spreads sends across inboxes with a daily cap on each. Follow-ups count as emails, so 4,400 sends on a three-step sequence reaches roughly 1,450 prospects. Billed yearly, Pro is $49.50 a month and the stack falls to about $86 with Zapmail's yearly rate. The cold email infrastructure guide walks through connecting the mailboxes, and ColdMailer pricing lists what each plan includes.
At 50 mailboxes the same sums give $164 for mailboxes, $18.42 for domains and $249 for ColdMailer Enterprise at 25,000 emails, or $431.42 a month.
Is Zapmail worth it?
Zapmail is worth it when you need ten or more outreach mailboxes and do not want to configure DNS on each domain by hand. It costs about half of buying Google Workspace seats directly, and the setup work it removes is real. It is a weaker fit below ten mailboxes, where you pay for a bundle you will not fill, and for anyone who wants the mailbox account in their own name with the provider.
On that last point, Zapmail's FAQ says mailboxes are provisioned exclusively for you on dedicated domains and are managed by Zapmail, while domains you buy through it are yours. Read that as: the domain is portable, the mailbox arrangement is a managed service. If you would rather hold the seats yourself, our comparison of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 for cold email prices that route.
