Maildoso is cheaper per mailbox at every volume above about 30 mailboxes, and Zapmail is cheaper only for very small setups on yearly billing. Maildoso charges $75 for 30 mailboxes, $225 for 300 and $499 for 1,000 a month. Zapmail charges $39 for 10, $99 for 30 and $299 for 100 on monthly billing. Domains are extra on both. Neither one sends your campaigns, so the full bill has three lines: mailboxes, domains and the sending tool.
The prices here come from each vendor's own pricing page. Per-mailbox figures, crossover counts and stack totals are our arithmetic, and vendors change prices, so confirm before you buy.
Maildoso vs Zapmail pricing at a glance
| Mailboxes | Maildoso monthly | Zapmail monthly |
|---|---|---|
| 30 mailboxes | $75 ($2.50 each) | $99 on Growth ($3.30 each) |
| 100 mailboxes | $225 on the 300 plan ($2.25 each) | $299 on Pro ($2.99 each) |
| 300 mailboxes | $225 ($0.75 each) | $299 for 100 plus 200 extras at $3.00, $899 |
| 1,000 mailboxes | $499 ($0.49 each) | $299 plus 900 extras at $3.00, $2,999 |
| Domains | $12 a year each, $15 from October 2026 | $13 a year for a .com |
The gap widens fast. At 300 mailboxes Maildoso costs $225 and Zapmail about $899, roughly four times as much. At 1,000 mailboxes it is $499 against about $2,999. Zapmail sells Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 mailboxes, while Maildoso sells SMTP mailboxes with IP rotation, so the two are not identical products, which we cover below.
Which is cheaper for 30 mailboxes?
Maildoso is cheaper at 30 mailboxes: $75 a month against $99 for Zapmail Growth. With domains at 8 mailboxes each, Maildoso comes to about $80 and Zapmail to about $103. Zapmail on yearly billing drops to $82.50 for the Growth plan, which narrows the gap to roughly $2.50 a month before domains.
Which is cheaper for 10 mailboxes?
Zapmail is cheaper at 10 mailboxes. Its Starter plan is $39 for 10 included mailboxes, while Maildoso's smallest plan is 30 mailboxes for $75. If you need only 10 inboxes, Maildoso makes you buy 30 or pay for capacity you do not use. This is the one place Zapmail wins on price.
What is different about the mailboxes themselves?
Zapmail resells Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 accounts. Those are the same inboxes you would buy direct, billed through the reseller, with DNS setup and health checks added. Maildoso provides SMTP mailboxes with IP rotation, automatic replacement of burned inboxes and placement tests every three days. Maildoso states a limit of 15 cold emails per mailbox per day.
Google and Microsoft mailboxes carry the reputation of those providers, which many senders prefer. SMTP mailboxes are cheaper and easier to replace. Which risk profile suits you is a deliverability decision, not a price one, and the cheapest option is not the right one if it puts your main domain at risk. Use separate sending domains either way.
How much does 1,000 cold emails a day cost on each?
At 15 cold emails per mailbox per day, 1,000 sends a day needs 67 mailboxes. On Maildoso that is $167.50 a month at the 30 plan's $2.50 rate, or $225 on the 300 plan. On Zapmail it is $99 for Growth plus 37 extras at $3.25, about $219, or $299 on Pro. At this size the two are close, and Zapmail Growth is competitive.
| 67 mailboxes | Maildoso | Zapmail |
|---|---|---|
| 30 plan rate, 67 mailboxes | $167.50 | n/a |
| Plan that fits | $225 (300 plan) | about $219 (Growth plus extras) |
| Domains, 9 at 8 per domain | about $9 to $11 a month | about $10 a month |
Many buyers compare headline rates and miss this. Zapmail's $2.50 and Maildoso's $0.49 only apply to 100 and 1,000 mailboxes respectively. Price your own count.
What else do you pay for besides mailboxes?
Both products stop at the mailbox. Neither finds leads, writes the emails or sequences follow-ups. You still need a sending platform, and some of those charge per seat or per connected inbox, which can erase the saving from a cheap mailbox. A platform without per-inbox fees keeps the mailbox bill as the only part that grows with volume.
Even a perfect mailbox does not rescue weak copy. If you are sending to 50 prospects a day per inbox, the opener decides whether anyone replies. AI email personalization that reads each prospect's profile is where reply rate moves, and it is cheap compared with doubling your inbox count. When replies do arrive, a team that has to answer and book every one of them can hand that to software that answers, qualifies and books inbound conversations rather than adding another person to the inbox.
What does warm-up add to each bill?
Maildoso requires at least 14 days of warm-up on new mailboxes and tells customers to keep it running for the life of the mailbox, at up to 80 warm-up emails a day. It does not run the warm-up itself, so that comes from your sending tool or a separate service. Zapmail sells pre-warmed mailboxes as a separate product: $39 for the first month on Starter, renewing at $24 for 3 mailboxes, and $149 then $84 for 12 on Growth. Per mailbox that is roughly double the fresh price, which pays only when a campaign must start this week.
Does billing period change the answer?
Zapmail is the one that moves most. Yearly billing takes Starter to $32.50 a month, Growth to $82.50 and Pro to $250, which is where its advertised $2.50 per mailbox comes from, but it means paying $3,000 up front for 100 mailboxes. Maildoso publishes one monthly price per plan and states no discounts and no annual plan, so what you see is what you pay. If you want to keep your options open, monthly Maildoso is the lower-commitment way in.
What does the full stack cost with each vendor?
Take 30 mailboxes and 4 domains. Maildoso is about $80 a month and Zapmail Growth about $103. Add a sending tool and the total is dominated by that third line. A volume sequencer can run under $100 a month, while a tool that writes every email individually costs more per send but needs far fewer mailboxes. If your plan is a short list of accounts and a separate AI-written message for each prospect, you may need 5 to 10 inboxes, not 30, and Zapmail Starter at $39 is the cheaper mailbox source. If your plan is hundreds of sends a day, Maildoso wins and you should pair it with a volume tool.
Which should you pick?
- 10 to 20 mailboxes: Zapmail Starter, for the price and for Google or Microsoft inboxes.
- 30 to 300 mailboxes: Maildoso, which wins on price from 30 up.
- More than 300 mailboxes: Maildoso by a wide margin, unless you need Google Workspace accounts specifically.
- Mixed needs: use either one and connect the mailboxes to the sending platform you already like.
For the full plan detail see Maildoso pricing and Zapmail pricing. If you are leaving Maildoso and want the sending layer as well, see our Maildoso alternative page. ColdMailer connects mailboxes from either vendor with no per-seat or per-inbox fee, so the saving you find here is not given back in the tool bill.
