Apollo vs Snov.io pricing side by side
Apollo charges per seat and gives each seat a yearly pool of credits. Snov.io charges per account, with unlimited seats, and sells credits by the month. That one difference decides almost every comparison below. A single person who needs about 2,500 emails a month pays less on Apollo. A team of three or more, or anyone finding more than about 5,000 emails a month, pays less on Snov.io, and the gap grows fast.
| Plan level | Apollo (per seat, billed annually) | Snov.io (per account, monthly or annual) |
|---|---|---|
| Free or trial | Free $0, 900 credits a year, 2 sequences, Gmail only | Trial, 50 credits and 100 recipients |
| Entry | Basic $49, 30,000 credits a year | Starter $39, or $29.25 annual, 1,000 credits and 5,000 recipients |
| Middle | Professional $79, 48,000 credits a year | Pro S $99, or $74.25 annual, 5,000 credits and 25,000 recipients |
| Upper | Organization $119, 72,000 credits a year, 3 seat minimum | Pro M $189 ($141.75), Pro L $369 ($276.75), Ultra $738 ($553.50) |
| Seats | Every user is a paid seat, all on the same plan | Unlimited team seats on every plan |
| Annual discount | Save 24% against monthly billing | 25% off on every tier |
Apollo's pricing page shows the annual rates by default. Monthly billing exists behind a toggle and costs more; Apollo's own 24% figure puts Basic near $64 a month if you pay month to month. Snov.io lists both, and its monthly prices are the ones in the first figure of each cell above.
What one email costs on each
On Apollo, one verified email costs about 2 cents on every paid plan. On Snov.io, it costs 2.9 cents on Starter and falls to about half a cent on Pro L. Apollo's price per credit barely moves because more credits only come with more seats or a higher seat price. Snov.io sells bigger credit packs to the same account, so the unit price drops as you grow.
| Plan (annual billing) | Email credits a month | Cost per email found |
|---|---|---|
| Apollo Basic, $49 a seat | 2,500 (30,000 a year) | 1.96 cents |
| Apollo Professional, $79 a seat | 4,000 (48,000 a year) | 1.98 cents |
| Apollo Organization, $119 a seat | 6,000 (72,000 a year) | 1.98 cents |
| Snov.io Starter, $29.25 | 1,000 | 2.93 cents |
| Snov.io Pro S, $74.25 | 5,000 | 1.49 cents |
| Snov.io Pro M, $141.75 | 20,000 | 0.71 cents |
| Snov.io Pro L, $276.75 | 50,000 | 0.55 cents |
Apollo spends 1 credit per email and 8 credits per phone number. Snov.io spends 1 credit per prospect found and 1 per email verified. The per-email figures are our arithmetic from each vendor's published plan price and allowance.
Which is cheaper for one person
For one person, it depends on volume. Under 1,000 emails a month Snov.io Starter is cheaper; from about 1,000 to 2,500 Apollo Basic is cheaper. Snov.io Starter costs $29.25 a month on annual billing ($39 monthly) for 1,000 credits. Apollo Basic costs $49 a seat for 2,500 credits a month. Going past 1,000 on Snov.io means Pro S at $74.25, so a solo seller finding 2,500 emails pays $25.25 a month more on Snov.io.
Apollo has a catch for that solo seller. Basic allows 250 email sends a day from 1 mailbox. Across 22 working days that is 5,500 emails, which covers about 1,800 prospects on a 3-step sequence. Anyone who wants more mailboxes or more daily sends needs Professional at $79, which unlocks unlimited daily sends, unlimited Google and Microsoft mailboxes and 5 SMTP mailboxes.
Which is cheaper for a sales team
For teams, Snov.io wins because seats are free. Apollo multiplies the price by headcount, and its credits come with the seats, so you buy credits whether or not every rep needs them.
| Team and volume (annual billing) | Apollo | Snov.io |
|---|---|---|
| 3 reps, 7,500 emails a month | $147 (3 Basic seats) | $141.75 (Pro M, 20,000 credits) |
| 5 reps, 20,000 emails a month | $395 (5 Professional seats) | $141.75 (Pro M) |
| 10 reps, 50,000 emails a month | $1,190 (10 Organization seats) | $276.75 (Pro L) |
At 5 reps the difference is $253.25 a month, or $3,039 a year. At 10 reps it is $913.25 a month. At 3 reps the bills are close, but Snov.io gives the team 20,000 credits against Apollo's 7,500. These are our totals, built from each vendor's published prices.
Where Apollo is worth the higher bill
Apollo is worth paying for when you need phone numbers, intent data or a dialer in the same seat. A Basic seat's 2,500 monthly credits cover about 312 phone numbers at 8 credits each. Apollo also lists call recording, intent topics, website visitor identification, CRM enrichment and a US dialer that bills 1 credit per 30 seconds. A sales team that calls as much as it emails gets more of its stack in one place.
Apollo's data is also the reason most people compare it at all. If your market is thin on Snov.io's results, cheaper credits do not help. Run the same search on both trials before you buy a year of either.
Where Snov.io pulls ahead
Snov.io pulls ahead on volume, team size and monthly flexibility. Unlimited seats mean a growing team never triggers a price change. Credits drop to about half a cent each on Pro L. Monthly plans are listed openly, so you can pay $39 for one month and stop. Apollo's paid credits on annual billing are granted for the year up front, which suits seasonal prospecting but leaves nothing for the next quarter if you spend them early.
Snov.io also prices its sending infrastructure in the open. Done-for-you Google mailboxes are $5 a month each and sending domains start at $12 a year. Warm-up runs on 1 account on Starter, 3 on Pro S and unlimited above that. LinkedIn automation is extra at $69 a month per account slot, or $62 on an annual plan.
The total bill once you add sending
Neither price is the whole bill if you send at volume. Apollo Basic gives one mailbox per user, so scaling sends means Professional seats. On Snov.io, recipients are the meter: 5,000 a month on Starter, 25,000 on Pro S, 50,000 on Pro M, 100,000 on Pro L. A recipient counts the first time you contact someone in a 30-day window, and follow-ups to that person do not count again.
Both tools expect you to bring or buy sending mailboxes. Five Snov.io mailboxes and two domains add about $27 a month to a Snov.io plan by our arithmetic. On Apollo, domain and mailbox purchasing is listed from Basic up, and Apollo says credits can be spent on domains and mailboxes.
Where ColdMailer fits
ColdMailer is not a lead database, so it does not replace the data side of Apollo or Snov.io. It is for the step after: you bring a list, ColdMailer writes a separate email for each prospect from what it knows about them, you edit if you want, and it sends from your own Google, Microsoft or SMTP inbox with follow-ups of up to 5 steps that stop on reply. Starter is $49 a month for 1,000 emails, or $294 a year. There is no seat price.
Teams often pair it with a data plan. A small Snov.io or Apollo plan finds the emails, and ColdMailer handles the writing and sending for the accounts where a generic template would waste the lead.
Who should pick which
Solo founders
Apollo Basic at $49 covers 2,500 emails a month. Under 1,000, Snov.io Starter at $29.25 annual is cheaper.
Small sales teams
Three to ten reps pay one Snov.io price. The same team on Apollo pays $147 to $1,190 a month.
Teams that call
Apollo's 8-credit phone numbers and dialer keep calling and email in one seat.
High-value account lists
Find the emails on either, then send one written email per prospect with ColdMailer from $49 a month.
Apollo vs Snov.io pricing questions
For teams and for high volume, yes. Five reps finding 20,000 emails a month pay $141.75 on Snov.io Pro M against $395 on five Apollo Professional seats, both on annual billing. For one person finding about 2,500 emails a month, Apollo Basic at $49 is cheaper than Snov.io Pro S at $74.25.
Apollo costs $49 a seat a month on Basic, $79 on Professional and $119 on Organization, all billed annually. Organization needs at least 3 seats, so its floor is $357 a month. Monthly billing costs more; Apollo advertises a 24% saving for choosing annual.
Snov.io costs $39 a month for Starter, $99 for Pro S, $189 for Pro M, $369 for Pro L and $738 for Ultra. Annual billing takes 25% off every tier, so Starter becomes $29.25 a month. Every plan includes unlimited team seats.
One Apollo credit reveals one verified email. A phone number costs 8 credits, AI research costs 1 credit per run, and the US dialer uses 1 credit per 30 seconds. Paid annual plans grant the year's credits up front, pooled across the team, and unused credits do not roll over.
A recipient is a person you email for the first time in a 30-day window. Follow-ups to the same person in that window are free. Starter includes 5,000 recipients a month, Pro S 25,000 and Pro M 50,000, separate from the credits you spend finding and verifying emails.
Yes, on the lower plans. Free and Basic allow 250 email sends a day and 1 mailbox per user. Professional and Organization list unlimited daily sends with unlimited Google and Microsoft mailboxes, plus 5 or 15 SMTP mailboxes per user.
Yes. Apollo has a Free plan with 900 credits a year and a 14-day trial of paid plans with 75 credits. Snov.io's trial includes 50 credits and 100 recipients. Use both trials on the same target list and compare how many emails each one finds.
Snov.io is the cheaper all-in-one for teams that mainly email, with free seats and lower credit prices at volume. Apollo is better if your reps also call, need phone numbers and intent data, or want a dialer in the same tool. If you want each email written for the prospect, pair either with a sender like ColdMailer.
Not necessarily, both send sequences. Teams add a separate tool when they want each message written for the prospect rather than a template with variables, or when they want to send from their own inbox without a per-seat price. ColdMailer starts at $49 a month for 1,000 written emails.
