lemlist is cheaper than Reply.io for almost every team that sends email only: its Email plan is $69 a month flat for 50,000 emails with unlimited users, while Reply.io charges per user below 10,000 active contacts and $179 a month from there. Reply.io wins in two narrow cases: one person contacting under about 1,000 new prospects a month, and teams that want LinkedIn, calls and SMS on one per-user plan billed monthly.

The two tools meter different things, which is why roundups that line up their entry prices side by side get the answer wrong. lemlist's Email plan counts emails sent. Reply.io's Email Volume plan counts active contacts, meaning the unique people who get a first-step email in a month, with unlimited follow-ups to each. A four-step sequence to 1,000 people is 1,000 contacts on Reply.io and 4,000 emails on lemlist.

Every vendor price below was read from reply.io/pricing and lemlist.com/pricing in September 2026. Every total, crossover and per-contact figure is our arithmetic.

Reply.io vs lemlist pricing at a glance

PlanMonthlyAnnual, per month
lemlist Email (unlimited users, 50,000 emails)$69$55
lemlist Multichannel (per user)$109$87
Reply.io Email Volume, 1,000 contacts (per user)$59$49
Reply.io Email Volume, 5,000 contacts (per user)$99$89
Reply.io Email Volume, 10,000 contacts (unlimited users)$179$159
Reply.io Email Volume, 25,000 contacts (unlimited users)$299$259
Reply.io Multichannel (per user)$99$89

Reply.io's Email Volume ladder has eight published steps: $59, $69, $79 and $99 per user for 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 active contacts, then $179, $299, $499 and $999 with unlimited users for 10,000, 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000. Annual billing brings those to $49, $59, $69, $89, $159, $259, $459 and $899. The full ladder and add-ons are in our Reply.io pricing breakdown; lemlist's credits and Enterprise terms are in the lemlist pricing guide.

Is Reply.io cheaper than lemlist?

Only for a single user contacting fewer than about 1,000 new people a month. Reply.io's 1,000-contact tier is $59 against lemlist's $69, and $49 against $55 on annual billing. At 2,000 contacts Reply.io is $69 monthly, a tie, and $59 annual, which is $4 more than lemlist. From 3,000 contacts upward lemlist is cheaper for one person, as long as the sequence stays under 50,000 emails.

For teams the gap opens fast. Reply.io's tiers below 10,000 contacts are billed per user, so two people on the 5,000 tier pay $198 a month, more than the $179 flat 10,000 tier that covers unlimited users. Anyone pricing Reply.io for a team of two or more should skip straight to the 10,000 tier. lemlist's Email plan stays at $69 regardless of how many people log in.

What Reply.io vs lemlist costs at five real workloads

Workload (monthly billing)Reply.iolemlist
1 user, 1,000 new contacts, 4 steps (4,000 emails)$59$69
1 user, 3,000 contacts, 4 steps (12,000 emails)$79$69
3 users, 4,500 contacts, 4 steps (18,000 emails)$179$69
5 users, 12,000 contacts, 3 steps (36,000 emails)$299$69
3 users, email plus LinkedIn$297 Multichannel$327 Multichannel

The third row is the one that surprises people. If each of the three users took the 2,000 tier, Reply.io would bill $207, so the cheaper route is the flat 10,000 tier at $179, which is still $110 a month more than lemlist Email. The fourth row is where lemlist's flat plan does the most work: five people, 36,000 emails, one $69 bill.

lemlist's Email plan has one ceiling to watch: 50,000 emails a month. On a four-step sequence that is 12,500 new prospects. Beyond that, lemlist's Multichannel plan lists unlimited emails per user, while Reply.io keeps climbing its contact ladder to $499 for 50,000 contacts.

Reply.io vs lemlist for LinkedIn and multichannel outreach

With LinkedIn in the mix, the two cost about the same: Reply.io Multichannel is $99 per user monthly and $89 annual, lemlist Multichannel is $109 and $87. Reply.io is $10 a user cheaper on monthly billing and $2 a user dearer on annual.

What each includes is different. lemlist Multichannel gives each user 5 senders, LinkedIn and SMS automation, a call dialer, and a WhatsApp add-on. Reply.io Multichannel includes LinkedIn, calls, SMS and semi-automated WhatsApp steps, with unlimited active contacts. One detail on Reply.io's page is easy to miss: the monthly Multichannel plan lists 5 mailboxes per user and the annual one lists 10. Extra mailboxes are $29 each a month.

If you only need LinkedIn for some reps, Reply.io also sells it as an add-on to Email Volume at $69 a month per LinkedIn account, and calls and SMS at $29 per account. Three reps on the 10,000 tier with LinkedIn each comes to $386 a month, more than Multichannel for the same three people.

AI SDR and AI writing: Jason AI vs lemAgent

Reply.io sells Jason, its AI SDR, as a separate product starting at $500 a month on annual billing, with published steps at $800 and $1,000. It researches prospects, writes, answers replies and books meetings. lemlist lists lemAgent inside its $69 Email plan along with a 650M+ contact database and an email and phone finder, with finds and verifications drawn from credits at $0.01 each.

Either way, an AI that answers replies still needs somewhere to send the prospect who says yes. Most teams put a meeting booking link in the reply template rather than trading times over email, which keeps the first call inside a day of the positive reply.

Free trials and contracts

Both run a 14-day trial. lemlist's gives full Multichannel access without a card; after it ends you keep the account but cannot launch new campaigns. Reply.io's trial covers the core product on its Email Volume and Multichannel plans. Neither has a permanently free tier worth running campaigns on.

Where ColdMailer fits

Both tools are sequencers: you write a template with variables and they send it, then follow up. ColdMailer is a narrower tool. You import your list, connect your own SMTP, Google or Microsoft inbox, and it writes a separate email for each prospect from what it knows about that person and company. You review, edit and send. It does not run LinkedIn, calls, warm-up or multi-step sequences, and it does not include a lead database.

Plans are $49, $99 and $249 a month for 1,000, 5,000 and 25,000 emails, half that on annual billing, with no per-seat charge. On price per email, lemlist Email is cheaper than we are. The reason to use ColdMailer is the writing: if your reply rate is low because everyone gets the same message, see how AI email personalization works on your own list. A new account gets 25 free emails to try it.
