Mailshake Pricing: Plans, Cost per User, Mailboxes and Data Finder

Mailshake costs $29, $49 or $99 per user a month, and $25, $45 or $85 billed yearly. Because every plan is billed per user, a team's real bill depends on headcount, how many inboxes each seat can connect, and two add-ons listed below the plan cards. Here is every plan, what the add-ons actually buy, and what Mailshake costs for a real team.

Every Mailshake figure was read from mailshake.com/pricing, its mailbox and Data Finder pages, and its help center in September 2026, from a US connection. Per mailbox costs, discounts and team totals are our arithmetic from those list prices.

Features

The five things that decide your Mailshake bill

Seats, not sends

Every plan is billed per user. Email Outreach and Sales Engagement have no send cap, so headcount is what moves the price.

Mailboxes per seat

The plan cards, the FAQ and the help center give three different mailbox allowances. Get yours in writing before you commit.

The domain add-on

$12 a month or $129 a year buys one domain with 5 ready mailboxes and DNS records set up, about $2.40 a mailbox.

Data Finder

50 credits on the two lower plans, 2,500 on Sales Engagement, or a $19 add-on listed with unlimited credits.

The dialer

The $50 jump from Email Outreach to Sales Engagement mostly buys calling: 5 numbers and unlimited North American minutes.

No trial, no refund

Payment is taken up front and cancellations are not refunded, so the first month on monthly billing is your trial.

Comparison

ColdMailer against Mailshake for cold outreach

This table is written to show the difference, not to flatter us. Mailshake is a sales engagement suite with sequences, warm-up, a prospect database, CRM sync and a phone dialer, billed per user. ColdMailer writes a separate message for each prospect on a list you already own and sends it through your own SMTP inbox, on flat pricing. Mailshake does more. ColdMailer costs less as the team grows and changes what each email says.

Feature ColdMailer Mailshake
Entry price a month $29 Starter, 1,000 emails $29 Starter per user, 1,500 emails

How it works

How to size a Mailshake plan in four steps

Step 01

Count senders, not emails

Every seat is a full plan price. Write down how many people, or how many inboxes, need to send, because that number multiplies the bill.

Step 02

Decide if anyone will call

If no one uses the power dialer, Email Outreach plus the $19 Data Finder add-on gives more data for $31 less than Sales Engagement.

Step 03

Confirm the mailbox allowance

Ask support how many mail accounts your plan connects per seat and get it in writing. The pricing page gives two answers.

Step 04

Pay monthly first

There is no trial and no refund. Run one month on monthly billing, then switch to yearly only if the numbers hold.

How much does Mailshake cost?

Mailshake costs $29 per user a month for Starter, $49 for Email Outreach and $99 for Sales Engagement on monthly billing. Paying yearly drops those to $25, $45 and $85 per user a month. There is no free plan and no free trial: Mailshake collects payment up front.

Those are the list prices on mailshake.com/pricing, read from a US connection in September 2026. Every plan is billed per user, so the number that matters for a team is the per user price multiplied by headcount, plus two optional add-ons that sit below the plan cards.

PlanMonthly, per userAnnual, per user a month
Starter$29$25
Email Outreach$49$45
Sales Engagement$99$85
AgencyQuote onlyQuote only

A lot of the Mailshake pricing articles that rank for this search still quote Email Outreach at $59. That was the old price. The live card says $49 monthly and $45 on annual billing, and Mailshake's own help center article on pricing, last revised in February 2025, carries annual figures that no longer match the pricing page either. When the two disagree, the pricing page is the one you will be charged from.

What each Mailshake plan includes

The three self-serve plans differ on four things: how many email addresses you can connect, how many emails you can send, how many Data Finder credits come included, and whether you get the phone dialer.

AllowanceStarterEmail Outreach
Email addresses1 per account2 per account
Emails a month1,500Unlimited
Uploaded contactsUnlimitedUnlimited
Data Finder credits5050
Warm-upUnlimitedUnlimited
Rotation, unified inbox, CRM syncNoYes

Sales Engagement keeps everything in Email Outreach and adds 10 email addresses, 2,500 Data Finder credits, 5 phone numbers, a power dialer with unlimited minutes to North American numbers, phone scripts, lead temperature, custom tasks and a one-to-one onboarding call. Agency takes everything in Sales Engagement and makes email addresses unlimited, at a price you get from sales.

Two things are worth reading closely. Starter is the only plan with a send cap, 1,500 emails a month, which works out to about 70 a working day. And Starter does not include Salesforce, Pipedrive or HubSpot sync, the unified inbox, or email rotation, so it is really a single sender plan. Every plan includes sequences, A/B testing, unlimited verification and the SHAKESpeare AI writer.

Is Mailshake per user or per mailbox?

Mailshake is priced per user. Its pricing FAQ says billing is based on how many users you purchase, and that each user you pay for lets your team connect one mail account. That is the part that decides your bill once you send from more than one inbox.

Here is the catch. The plan cards on the same page say 1, 2 and 10 email addresses per account for Starter, Email Outreach and Sales Engagement. The FAQ lower down says one mail account per user. The help center article on pricing, dated February 2025, says one, two and up to five mail accounts per user. Three statements, three different numbers for the top plan.

Source on mailshake.comSales Engagement mailboxesEmail Outreach mailboxes
Plan card, pricing page10 per account2 per account
FAQ, pricing page1 per user paid for1 per user paid for
Help center, Feb 2025Up to 5 per user2 per user

We are not going to guess which one support will honor. If you plan to send from more than two inboxes, get the mailbox allowance for your exact plan in writing before you pay, because Mailshake does not refund cancellations. The FAQ's own example is telling: it suggests paying for three users with one person on the team so you can connect three mail accounts. That is a seat bought purely to unlock a mailbox.

Mailshake mailboxes cost $12 a domain, not $12 a mailbox

Mailshake's Ready to Use Mailboxes add-on costs $12 a month or $129 a year, and each purchase is one domain with 5 mailboxes, SPF, MX and DKIM already set up. That is $2.40 a mailbox a month on monthly billing and $2.15 on yearly.

The pricing page shows only "$12/MO" next to the words Ready to Use Mailboxes, and plenty of comparison articles read that as twelve dollars per inbox. The mailbox feature page is explicit that one domain gives you five mailboxes, and that you add another domain to get five more.

SetupMonthlyYearly
1 domain, 5 mailboxes$12$129
2 domains, 10 mailboxes$24$258
5 domains, 25 mailboxes$60$645

That is cheap next to buying Google Workspace seats at $7.00 a mailbox, and competitive with the dedicated cold email mailbox resellers. The yearly option saves $15 a domain, about 10 percent (our arithmetic). The limit is not the mailbox price. It is how many of those mailboxes your plan lets you connect, which brings you back to the per user question above.

Mailshake Data Finder pricing

Data Finder is Mailshake's prospect search tool. Starter and Email Outreach include 50 credits, Sales Engagement includes 2,500, and the Data Finder add-on costs $19 a month or $17 a month yearly and is listed with unlimited credits. It can also be bought on its own without a Mailshake plan, and a one-time trial gives 50 credits.

This is where our arithmetic turns up something the plan cards do not point out:

CombinationMonthlyYearly, per month
Starter plus Data Finder$48$42
Email Outreach alone$49$45
Email Outreach plus Data Finder$68$62
Sales Engagement alone$99$85

Email Outreach with the add-on costs $31 a month less than Sales Engagement and is listed with unlimited Data Finder credits against Sales Engagement's 2,500. So if the reason you are looking at Sales Engagement is data rather than the dialer, the add-on is the cheaper route. Sales Engagement earns its price only if your reps actually make calls from the power dialer, or you need more mailboxes per seat. Treat "unlimited" as subject to Mailshake's fair use terms, as with any data product.

What Mailshake costs for a real team

Per user billing means the plan price is only a starting point. Here is what four common setups cost on list prices, with mailboxes added where the setup needs them. The totals are our arithmetic.

SetupMonthlyYearly, per month
Founder, 1 inbox, under 1,500 emails$29$25
Founder, 2 inboxes, more volume$49$45
3 SDRs on Email Outreach, 2 domains$171$156.50
5 reps on Sales Engagement, Data Finder included$495$425

The three SDR line is 3 seats at $49 plus 2 domains at $12, or 3 seats at $45 plus 2 domains at $129 a year. The five rep line needs no mailbox add-on only if Mailshake honors the 10 addresses per account on the plan card. If it applies one mail account per user, five reps connect five inboxes and you are buying seats, not mailboxes, to go further.

Compare that with the tools that do not charge per user. Instantly's Outreach Growth plan is $47 a month with unlimited mailboxes. Smartlead Base is $39. lemlist's $69 Email plan includes unlimited users. At one sender Mailshake is competitive. At five senders the per seat model is the most expensive way to buy cold email on this list.

Mailshake annual discount, plan by plan

Mailshake's annual discount is not a flat rate. It is about 14 percent on Starter and Sales Engagement, and only about 8 percent on Email Outreach, the plan most teams buy.

PlanSaved a year, per userDiscount
Starter$4813.8%
Email Outreach$488.2%
Sales Engagement$16814.1%

Starter and Email Outreach both save exactly $4 a month per user, so the percentage falls as the price rises. Pair that with the no refund policy in Mailshake's help center and the case for paying yearly on Email Outreach is weak: $48 a seat saved, against being locked in for twelve months with no money back if the tool does not work out. On Sales Engagement the saving is bigger, $168 a seat, and the yearly commitment is easier to justify once the team is settled.

Does Mailshake have a free trial?

No. Mailshake has no free trial and no free plan. Its pricing FAQ says it collects payment up front and offers onboarding, deliverability training and support resources instead. The only free element is a one-time 50 credit Data Finder trial.

You can cancel any time before the renewal date and you will not be charged again, but Mailshake's help center states it does not issue refunds or pro-rated refunds for cancellations. So the cheapest way to test Mailshake is one month of Starter at $29 on monthly billing, not a yearly plan. That is a real difference from lemlist, Smartlead and Saleshandy, which each run a no card trial, and from ColdMailer, where a new account gets 25 free emails to try with no credit card.

Mailshake pricing compared with the tools buyers shortlist

Entry price alone flatters per user tools, because it shows the cost of one seat. The billing model column is the one to read.

ToolEntry priceHow it bills
Mailshake$29 a monthPer user, 1,500 emails on Starter
ColdMailer$29 a monthFlat, 1,000 emails, no seats
Smartlead$39 a monthFlat, 6,000 emails
Saleshandy$41 a monthFlat, seats included
Instantly$47 a monthFlat, unlimited mailboxes
lemlist$69 a monthFlat on Email, per user on Multichannel

Mailshake still does some things the cheaper flat tools do not. Its Sales Engagement plan puts a power dialer with unlimited North American minutes in the same seat as email, and its Starter plan gives 1,500 sends for $29, which is more than ColdMailer's 1,000 at the same price. Where it loses is scale: every added sender is another full seat.

Mailshake against ColdMailer, honestly

These are different purchases. Mailshake is a sales engagement suite: multi-step sequences, follow-ups, warm-up, a unified inbox, CRM sync, a prospect database and, on the top plan, a phone dialer. ColdMailer does one job. It writes a separate message for each prospect on a list you already own, lets you edit every message, and sends through the SMTP inbox you connect.

If you need sequences, a dialer or a built-in database, Mailshake does more and ColdMailer is the wrong tool. If you already have the list and the problem is that every email reads like a template, ColdMailer is the cheaper and more direct answer: $29 a month for 1,000 emails, $49 for 5,000 with unlimited sending inboxes, $149 for 25,000, never billed per user, and half that on yearly billing.

Who should pay for Mailshake, and who should not

Mailshake is good value for a solo seller or a small team of one to three reps who want email and calling in one place and will use the sequences and CRM sync. Starter at $29 is a fair price for 1,500 sends with warm-up included, and Email Outreach at $49 removes the send cap.

It is poor value for an agency or a team that scales by adding inboxes rather than people, because the per user model charges a full seat for capacity. It is also a risky buy for anyone who is not sure yet, because there is no trial and no refund. If that is you, test on one month of monthly billing, confirm the mailbox allowance in writing, and only then move to yearly.

Use cases

What Mailshake costs at five common setups

1

A founder under 1,500 emails a month

Starter at $29, or $25 yearly. Warm-up and sequences are included, and at one sender the per user model costs you nothing extra.

2

A founder who needs a second inbox

Email Outreach at $49 lifts the send cap and lists 2 email addresses. The yearly saving is just $4 a month.

3

Three SDRs sharing two sending domains

3 seats on Email Outreach plus 2 mailbox domains: $171 a month, or $156.50 a month on yearly billing.

4

Five reps who call as well as email

Sales Engagement at $495 a month, $425 yearly, with 2,500 Data Finder credits and the dialer included.

5

An agency sending for clients

Agency is quote only. Mailshake recommends each client create its own team and add you as a user, so each client pays its own seats.

FAQ

Mailshake pricing questions, answered

Mailshake costs $29 per user a month for Starter, $49 for Email Outreach and $99 for Sales Engagement on monthly billing, or $25, $45 and $85 per user a month billed yearly. Agency pricing is quote only. Mailbox domains are $12 a month and Data Finder is $19 a month on top.

No. Mailshake has no free plan and no free trial, and it collects payment up front. The only free element is a one-time trial of 50 Data Finder credits. The cheapest way in is one month of Starter at $29 on monthly billing.

No. Mailshake's pricing FAQ says it does not offer a free trial and collects payment up front. Its help center adds that it does not refund cancellations or issue pro-rated refunds, so test on monthly billing rather than a yearly plan.

Yes. Mailshake bills based on how many users you purchase, and its FAQ says each user lets your team connect one mail account. A five-person team on Sales Engagement pays $495 a month, or $425 a month on yearly billing.

Mailshake's plan cards list 1, 2 and 10 email addresses for Starter, Email Outreach and Sales Engagement, but its FAQ says one mail account per user and its help center says up to five on the top plan. Confirm your exact allowance in writing before paying.

Mailshake's Ready to Use Mailboxes cost $12 a month or $129 a year per domain, and each domain includes 5 mailboxes with SPF, MX and DKIM set up. That works out to $2.40 a mailbox a month, or $2.15 on yearly billing.

Data Finder costs $19 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly, and is listed with unlimited credits. Starter and Email Outreach include 50 credits and Sales Engagement includes 2,500. It can be bought without a Mailshake plan, and a one-time trial gives 50 credits.

Yes. Every Mailshake plan, including the $29 Starter plan, lists unlimited email warm-up along with unlimited campaigns and unlimited email verification. Warm-up is not a paid add-on at Mailshake, unlike tools that charge per warmed mailbox.

Sales Engagement costs $50 more per user a month and adds calling: 5 phone numbers, a power dialer with unlimited North American minutes and phone scripts. It also raises Data Finder credits from 50 to 2,500 and lists 10 email addresses against 2.

No. Mailshake's help center states it does not issue refunds or pro-rated refunds for cancellations. You can cancel before the renewal date and will not be charged again, which is why a first month on monthly billing is safer than a yearly plan.

For a solo seller or a small team that wants email and calling in one tool, yes: $29 buys 1,500 sends with warm-up and sequences. For teams that scale by adding inboxes, per user billing makes it one of the pricier options next to flat plans like Smartlead or Instantly.

For more than one sender, flat priced tools usually are. Smartlead Base is $39 a month, Saleshandy Starter $41 with seats included, and Instantly Growth $47 with unlimited mailboxes. ColdMailer is $29 a month for 1,000 personalized emails and is never billed per user.

Already own your list? Stop paying per seat to send it

ColdMailer writes a separate message for each prospect on the list you already have and sends it through your own SMTP mailbox. Starter is $29 a month for 1,000 emails, Pro is $49 for 5,000 with unlimited sending inboxes, and Enterprise is $149 for 25,000. Paying yearly costs half. No seats to buy and no credits to burn. A new account gets 25 free emails to try, with no credit card.
